SALES MANAGER:

Looking for a dynamic individual to lead the sales team of the company’s Energy Services Group at our Louisville, KY office. The Energy Services Group markets and sells the company’s market information, as well as technical reports and systems services to large financial institutions. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Market Research and Development. Candidates must have the following qualities:

  • A strong knowledge of commodities/energy markets

  • An understanding of derivatives (swaps and options)

  • At least 5 years of proven direct sales experience

  • Technical sales skills

  • The ability to effectively manage a sales team five or more people

  • The ability to work in an entrepreneurially oriented environment

  • Discipline and energy to work independently and achieve goals

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products

  • The ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • NFA Series 3 certification helpful but not necessary

  • A Bachelors of Science in Economics, Business, Finance, or Engineering



OLAP APPLICATION DEVELOPER:

Seeking an experienced OLAP Application Developer to join our application development team. This full-time position, based in Louisville, KY, will be responsible for the development of web and Windows software applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Primary Job Duties:

  • Gather feedback from design and technical staff on application development needs.

  • Build user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages.

  • Author complex web pages and windows applications

  • Assist in project planning and website design.

  • Create prototypes and functional specifications for software projects.

  • Make suggestions on creating technical standards

  • Responsible for the overall design, implementation, and maintenance of business intelligence infrastructure

  • Designs and develops the business intelligence infrastructure

  • Builds SSIS packages for initial load of data and incremental loads of data

  • Develops, maintains, monitors, and does performance tuning of SSAS OLAP cube(s)

  • Functions as a technical expert in the design, development, and maintenance of OLAP cubes and databases

  • Works closely with other business units to optimize data and information usage

Qualifications Needed:


Technical Skills:

  • 2+ years experience with SSIS, SSAS on SQL Server 2005/2008. Experience with SSRS a plus.

  • Understanding of building security models for drill level access to cubes as well as within the physical dimensional schema

  • Demonstrated expertise in building Windows and web applications in Microsoft.NET.

  • Proficient with C#. VB.NET proficiency a plus

  • Create and maintain complex stored procedures in Transact SQL.

  • Experience in the energy sector a plus

Analytical Skills:

  • Collect and research data.

  • Use intuition and experience to complement data

Design Skills:

  • Generate creative solutions.

  • Translate concepts and information into functional designs.

  • Use feedback to modify designs.

  • Apply design principles.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail.

Problem Solving:

  • Gather and analyze information skillfully.

  • Work well in group problem solving situations.

Other Qualifications Include:

  • Must be goal oriented and be able to prosper with little day-to-day supervision, while at the same time be able to work well within the IT team.
